so french.

My French Parisian look. Vintage Levis 501 jeans, breton tee from COS, captains hat from H&M.

So I have been really busy lately with work and stuff, but hopefully, soon I can return back to normal here!

Over two years ago I moved to London after living in Paris, I must admit sometimes I miss things with Paris.

I miss being able to walk a lot. Nothing is really far away in Paris and most of the times the walk is beautiful.

I miss the French food. Sorry Britain but French do cook better.

I miss getting inspired by that effortless Parisian style, you know when they look just perfect and it doesn't even look like they made an effort. I love that.

Today's look I'm dedicating to Paris.

strawbags and the new store arket

My holiday outfit look that I wore in South of France. Strawbag from the local market, beige silk camisole from the new store Arket, Levis 501 vintage shorts, brown leather sandals from H&M and sunglasses from Alexander McQueen.

Two things, I love right now. The new store Arket where I got my silk camisole from (HERE) and second, my local market found, the straw bag I got in South of France. The two pieces together are a match made in heaven. Since summer is officially over I will wear the straw bag with my trench coat just because I can and because I love clatching seasonal items. The silk camisole will be worn as a layer under a blazer tucket in a pair of denim. Yes, I am ready for the autumn season now!

By the pool side and the importance of slowing down.

leg (1 of 1)-43

So I'm back home in London after one amazing week in Turkey. This was by far one of my best visit there, and I really think it was mainly cause I felt relaxed. I often go on holiday thinking it will calm me down not realizing that you have to be open and ready for the relaxation as well. Anyway, this time I was and most of the days we hang by the sea, eat good food (I LOVE Turkish food and we ate fresh fish, feta cheese, olives, vegetables and fruit that have never taste sweeter) talked, laughed and simply just enjoyed life.

Hanging by the pool in South of Turkey in my yellow swim suit from Topshop, vintage Levis 501 shorts and panama hat. Perfect pool outfit for a warm day.

It really good for someone like me to take a break, I am a very intense person and can really easily get caught up in things and forget how to pause and reflect. When you live in a big city like London it's easy to get sucked into the stress that comes with the city. Since I had some this time this holiday to think about things, there is one thing I want to change when being home and that is my eating habits or let's say my snacking habits. During the time in Turkey, I ate quite healthy and it made me realize how much it does for you and your well-being. In London, I tend to eat basically anything that will stop my hunger and worst of all; I snack every day something sugary. The other thing I want to do is to have a proper breakfast, the one when you sit down (I eat it standing up on the go, so bad I know!) have your juice, boiled egg, and bread, in peace. So a very good holiday that made me realize things!

I have much more photos to share from Turkey, so just give me time to edit them and I will share them all here. This one's here are from the pool just next to the sea, I love the sea but I enjoy a pool visit as well. How amazing is my swimsuit in orange, I wore it all the time, and of course my good all Levi's 501 shorts. They never fail me, they are about 7 years old and still going strong.

Have a lovely Tuesday and most important, don't forget to slow down!

Levi’s Redone – My new old favorite jeans

Buying a pair of jeans that has holes in but still cost as much (if not more) as a pair of high-end brand jeans, well that is something my dad would never understand. I admit, it is a bit crazy when you think about it, but you are also buying a piece that is truly unique and carries history in a way. And the best thing is that once you find a pair that truly sits well, you kind of can't settle for less when it comes to jeans.

My levis Redone has the perfect light wash, the perfect high waist and just enough amount of holes!

Casual Monday’s @ the NoOrdinarySuit Headoffice

marantIt's a nice thing that I can dress casually in the office on Monday's, I'm aware that it is Friday today but I haven't had a chance to post this outfit until now. Very busy week with a trip to Paris squeezed in in the middle of the week.

Anyway, I really do love my new ripped Levis ReDone and if I could I would never take them off.  I also found my old Isabel Marant tee in my wardrobe in which I am falling in love with it again. Linen tees are the best! And of course my Acne Pistol boots, what can a say? A true classic!

My new year’s resolution for 2017

I'm not the biggest fan of new years resolution as I believe you can make goals and changes in your life any time of the year and don't have to be restricted to a specific date. Nevertheless, it's hard to not think about the changes you might want to do and goals you would like to achieve since most people around you either have a new years resolution or ask you if you have one.

I thought about it and I might have a few changes I want to make, here we go!

readbook

1. Read more books. For me, I just need to get in the habit again, it's as simple as that. On a one week holiday I can read up to four books (of course you have way more time on your hand) but in my daily life I seem to have a hard time fitting reading in. This will change, less series on Netflix and more reading in the evenings, starting with this amazing book I got on the pic above.

food

2. Eat healthier. I do eat quite healthy already but I have what people call a sweet tooth (thank you mom for giving me that DNA, hehe). When the afternoon tiredness hit, or after a big lunch I feel this need for something sugary. Preferably something with chocolate. As sugar is like a drug it's hard to quit the habit straight away so my master plan is to for now only eat dark chocolate covered nuts (see pic above) as a snack, and then hopefully just the nut. And yeah I bought a cooking book as well to get inspired.

Glittery socks please – it’s all in the detail

glittersocks

I can't help it I want glittery socks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wouldn't take it as far to say that whole new world has opened up to me, but almost. When it comes to

When it comes to purchase THE ultimate socks there are two places I would go to find my luck, AndOtherStories and Topshop. They have understood the importance of what a good sock can do to an outfit and how we all need a little sparkle in our life!

denimandfishnet2

I love a good old casual look. You know, your "safe-card" when you have nothing to wear? My vintage Levis 501 is one of my wardrobe staples, they have saved me many times from an outfit crisis. Today a paired them up with one my favorite shoes and my new bought fishnet stocking ( I simply can't get enough of them). Amazing!

Happy Monday y'all!

bricklane5A couple of days ago me and my friend Sam who runs the blog ilovejeans.com (Do check out her blog to find out EVERYTHING you want to know about denim such as new denim designers, the best brands, what style suits wich body shape and many other denim-related things.) had some errands to run in Bricklane here in London. One of the amazing thing with this area is all the street art and graffiti walls, perfect for bloggers as us who always try to find new backgrounds for an outfit post. I really love how the colors of the walls blend in perfectly with my outfit for the day.

Thank you Sam for snapping those photos of me!

Suede coat – The perfect autumn piece

suedecoat

suedecoat2London is getting cold, cold, cold. Luckily I purchased this suede coat earlier this summer  (It got warm to quickly so I didn't really get a chance to use it) and it sure helps now to have a longer jacket covering half of your body. It's also very pretty and very autumn-color-like so it blends in well with the rest of nature (who doesn't want to be one with nature?). A very good buy I must say as a suede coat is such a staple piece that you will keep forever. Well done Monki!
