about coming home and the changes ahead

I guess I'm not alone in my coming home from holiday feeling weird, slightly disorientated and lost. I'm so eager to back into routines ( I love routines) but end up mostly just staring at the wall not knowing where to start (hence the absent here on the blog ). This summer has been great in so many ways, I traveled a lot (Turkey, Sweden, Paris, Wales, and South of France ) which also led to a lot of thinking. Mostly about me as a person, my goals and my soul search in a way. It opened my eyes and creativity ( I guess that's was travel do!?) and my mind feels a bit clearer.

For me my new years start now, I have so many plans ahead. First I'm planning a new shoot with Noordinarysuit (and more plans with the company in general), I'm taking silversmithing jewelry classes ( a dream I had forever), expect some fun collaborations on the blog and many more blog plans ahead (Please let me know if you wish for anything specific !), I'm expanding my personal styling business (book me HERE), and last but not least I'm still working for my beloved Acne Studios. Autumn 2017 let's do this!!

Enough talking and let me share some snaps from South of France.

Rodebjer and Noordinarysuit – My scandinavian holiday look

Holiday outfit post from a roof top in Turkey. Wearing my printed wide leg trousers from Swedish brand Rodebjer and my top from Swedish brand Minimarket, a total scandi look from a Scandinavian Fashion blogger.

Hi, from the roof top in Turkey again, the pictures were taken on one of out last nights in paradise. In summer and warmer climate, it's easy to just wear dresses all the time so we  (read me) tend to forget about all the amazing summer trousers out there. Especially if you have a kick-ass top to go with like the one I'm wearing from Noordinarysuit.

I think that trousers and a top give you a completely different look compared to a dress, it gives you a more tomboy look that I actually prefer most of the times. I got those ones from the Swedish brand Rodebjer, can't help myself I love Scandinavian brands, a true Swede I guess...

I just love how the trousers are cut and open up in the front, it makes the trousers floaty when you walk, so beautiful. Now I need to start thinking what to wear when heading to Green Man festival on Friday!

A white shirt with a twist

White shirt with open shoulders and ribbons from SJYP. Love a classic white shirt but a shirt with a twist like this is also a must in your wardrobe.

Untitled-2

White shirt with open shoulders and ribbons from SJYP. Love a classic white shirt but a shirt with a twist like this is also a must in your wardrobe.

Happiness is when you find the perfect white shirt, with a twist, on sale ( Ok it's obviously not true happiness, let me rephrase: It makes me happy. ) This is what happened this last summer sale, and I already know that this shirt and I are gonna be friends for a long long time. Everybody needs a white shirt in their wardrobe and most people also needs a shirt with a twist, with a twist I mean a detail that differs them from a classic shirt. I listed my favorites in stores right now below.

At this very moment, I'm on a plane to Turkey, Bodrum to be precise. So if you won't find me here, find me on Instagram HERE as I have a feeling that my Instafeed and Instastories are gonna be up and running a lot.

always pack a party dress – Amanda Brooks

amandabrooksI love reading, I am one of those weird period readers. When I'm on holiday I can read at least 2-3 books a week, but I also have times when I'm working where I don't  read a book for months. I definitely need to change that, cause I'ts  all about finding the habit to read in your day-to-day life.

As I was on holiday not long ago I just finished this book above, and I absolutely loved it. Not only does Amanda Brooks  have tons of experience from fashion and photography to write about, but she does it in such a nice casual way. Amanda herself tells the reader in the begining of the book;

" This book is not an career guide or any kind of comprehensive memoir. It's just my experience...It's the lesson I learned and how I learned them"

The books also contains lots of photos and in between the chapters she have different small subjects she keeps coming back to such as "Fashion lessons", "Style influence" and "Sidebar" a very smart way to keep the readers attention as the book constantly various.

Get the book HERE and follow Amanda Brooks on Instagram HERE

I am back in London, back in what we call reality. But I have so many more pictures to share so I thought I will let you stay in the "South of France" bubble with me a little longer. First out is, one dress in two locations, as I like to call this story.

I got THIS dress I from H&M just before leaving on holiday, it has this red/orange color that I adore and the perfect color when you have a nice tan (working on that still). I also love the drop shoulder and the fact that it kind of makes me think about Spanish flamenco dancers, which I guess is a good thing!

don’t forget to look up

houseone

Ever since I arrived here in South of France (yes I am on long-weekend here!) I find myself taking loads of photos of the top of the buildings. One of the beautiful things with the architecture here is that every building seems to be unique in itself but since the still share the same color palette they all make sense together. I love the pale pink color you find on most houses here, always teamed up with a pastel blue or pastel green color on the window-frame. And let's not forget the cherry on top of the icing, the green palms or trees in front of the walls that add an extra flavor to the palette! Beautiful.

If there is any advice I can give when visiting a new city, it would be; "Don't forget to look up!".

mondays

mondaySome people hate Monday's, I'm not one of them. Monday's for me is when I plan my week. Monday's  is  when I try to get inspired by either magazines, blogs or other just by people. Monday is when I browse the web all the day long. Monday is when I try to cook something nice and healthy. Monday is when I snap photos of things I didn't have time to do before. I love Monday's!

lux VS budget

sequinshm

Anyone of you who follows me on instagram (@gabriella_lundgren) might remember how I was glancing at and trying on the sequins leggings from Isabel Marant. Well what I can say is that I fell in love, but my wallet didn't . So after googling a few other alternatives I found a similar one at H&M, only 230 pound cheaper.

I do often try to invest in good quality but when it comes to pieces like sequin  leggings, I ask my self how much better quality is those Isabel Marant trousers?  I mean we are still talking about something fragile like sewn on sequins. Well as you can see on the picture I got the H&M ones and now the biggest question is when can I start using my sparking sequin leggings?
