about coming home and the changes ahead

I guess I'm not alone in my coming home from holiday feeling weird, slightly disorientated and lost. I'm so eager to back into routines ( I love routines) but end up mostly just staring at the wall not knowing where to start (hence the absent here on the blog ). This summer has been great in so many ways, I traveled a lot (Turkey, Sweden, Paris, Wales, and South of France ) which also led to a lot of thinking. Mostly about me as a person, my goals and my soul search in a way. It opened my eyes and creativity ( I guess that's was travel do!?) and my mind feels a bit clearer.

For me my new years start now, I have so many plans ahead. First I'm planning a new shoot with Noordinarysuit (and more plans with the company in general), I'm taking silversmithing jewelry classes ( a dream I had forever), expect some fun collaborations on the blog and many more blog plans ahead (Please let me know if you wish for anything specific !), I'm expanding my personal styling business (book me HERE), and last but not least I'm still working for my beloved Acne Studios. Autumn 2017 let's do this!!

Enough talking and let me share some snaps from South of France.

holiday blues

poolsideSo I am back home in London and yesterday I had my first work-day after holiday. I still suffer from major holiday blues, you know when you are back home but in your mind you are still on the beach? Or at least wishes you were. It always happens to me, I guess I really like changing environment  as it changes you and your mindset in a way, plus it inspires me to see things in a different light and I love (and need) that.

I remember one time I came back to Sweden (where I lived at the time) from a holiday in Istanbul and I told my college and friend at the moment that I was really depressed about beeing back, he could tell aswell as we were (still is) really good friends, then he looked at me and said;

I'm never going on holiday if this is the result!

I guess we all digest things in a different way. Well I think despite the blues I'm feeling right now it was still worth it, and I'm a true believer of changing patterns. Now work!

holiday coma

New angles of the pool

Green, sun and shadows makes a original pattern

I have literally entered a holiday coma, where life is about family, eat, sea, sun and taking photos. This time I point my camera lens away from me (Yes I admit, I still take a few selfies here and there. You obviously don't loose yourself completely.) and focus more of nature and other details all shot from different angles. Here is a few I snapped recently.

Cote d’Azur look

janebirkinstyleIn less then ten days I'm once again heading over to South of France for the second time this year (lucky me) for a week long much needed holiday. This time you will find me on the beach with a book in my hand, all week long, this is a promise. I will make one detour to the local market, where they stock everything from food to clothes and things you didn't even know you needed in your life. This time I'm on a mission to find the three objects shown my mood-board above. A straw hat, a straw bag and a pair of new sandals, preferably  the K Jaques ones from Saint Tropez. Love them. I need to get my Jane Birkin style going.

Soon, counting down.
