J.wlry Sthlm and my new “Lights Off” ring

My new sterling silver ring called Lights Off from the Swedish brand J.wlry Sthlm.

Me and Joanna (founder of J.WLRY Sthlm) meet a couple of years ago in Paris, both Swedes in a big city where anything was possible but also where there were many bumps on the road. One thing we always shared even in hard times was our love for fashion and design, so it makes me proud as a friend to see her creating something really beautiful that I constantly carry around my finger. Instead of me writing things about the ring I thought I would share a few words from the designer herself below.

ME: Hi Joanna, Are you ready for three quick questions? What are you wearing right now?

JOANNA: Hi, sure go ahead! I am wearing my lovely knitted crop trousers from COS. Together with a top from Malene Birger and a sweater from Wood Wood. My high heels from Rodebjer I am just dreaming of wearing, the pregnancy only lets me have my New Balance sneakers.

ME: What are you doing today?

JOANNA: I am organizing the rest of the week’s jewelry making and planning a client meeting, and kind of always sketching on some new exciting ideas while listening to music…

ME: I absolutely love the ring Lights Off from your collection, can you tell me more about where you get the inspiration from when creating your jewelry?

JOANNA: I’m so happy to hear that! My inspiration source comes mostly from minimalism and Art Deco objects and the artist Hervé Van Der Straeten that I got familiar with when I studied fashion in Paris. I can’t get enough of his work.

Thank you Joanna and good luck with J.WLRY Sthlm and the soon to be here baby!

By the pool side and the importance of slowing down.

leg (1 of 1)-43

So I’m back home in London after one amazing week in Turkey. This was by far one of my best visit there, and I really think it was mainly cause I felt relaxed. I often go on holiday thinking it will calm me down not realizing that you have to be open and ready for the relaxation as well. Anyway, this time I was and most of the days we hang by the sea, eat good food (I LOVE Turkish food and we ate fresh fish, feta cheese, olives, vegetables and fruit that have never taste sweeter) talked, laughed and simply just enjoyed life.

Hanging by the pool in South of Turkey in my yellow swim suit from Topshop, vintage Levis 501 shorts and panama hat. Perfect pool outfit for a warm day.

It really good for someone like me to take a break, I am a very intense person and can really easily get caught up in things and forget how to pause and reflect. When you live in a big city like London it’s easy to get sucked into the stress that comes with the city. Since I had some this time this holiday to think about things, there is one thing I want to change when being home and that is my eating habits or let’s say my snacking habits. During the time in Turkey, I ate quite healthy and it made me realize how much it does for you and your well-being. In London, I tend to eat basically anything that will stop my hunger and worst of all; I snack every day something sugary. The other thing I want to do is to have a proper breakfast, the one when you sit down (I eat it standing up on the go, so bad I know!) have your juice, boiled egg, and bread, in peace. So a very good holiday that made me realize things!

I have much more photos to share from Turkey, so just give me time to edit them and I will share them all here. This one’s here are from the pool just next to the sea, I love the sea but I enjoy a pool visit as well. How amazing is my swimsuit in orange, I wore it all the time, and of course my good all Levi’s 501 shorts. They never fail me, they are about 7 years old and still going strong.

Have a lovely Tuesday and most important, don’t forget to slow down!

Four accessories essentials I would never go on holiday without

Ok, so there are few things and bringing to both my holiday in Turkey and South of France.

THE STRAW HAT

Four accessories essentials I would never go on holiday without. The strawhat, this one is from a market in south of France.

It’s stylish and it protects both you and your hair from the sun, a must in warmer climates.

GOLD JEWELRY’S

Four accessories essentials I would never go on holiday without. Gold jewelry is a must on your summer holidays.

I’m a gold jewelry kinda girl, and in the summer I want them bigger and chunkier. The more the merrier.

TANNED LEATHER SANDALS

Four accessories essentials I would never go on holiday without. The tanned brown leather sandals.

Black in all its glory, nothing beats a tanned foot in a brown leather sandal. For me, it just adds to that natural holiday vibe I’m always aiming for. Plus it goes well with your natural skin color.

A STRAW BAG

Four accessories essentials I would never go on holiday without. The straw bag to bring to the beach and dinner.

A straw bag is easy to carry all your beach essentials in and chic enough to bring on your dinner after the beach. It’s basically the only bag you need for your holiday, in different sizes, shapes, and colors obviously.

What do you bring on your holiday?

A white shirt with a twist

White shirt with open shoulders and ribbons from SJYP. Love a classic white shirt but a shirt with a twist like this is also a must in your wardrobe.

Happiness is when you find the perfect white shirt, with a twist, on sale ( Ok it’s obviously not true happiness, let me rephrase: It makes me happy. ) This is what happened this last summer sale, and I already know that this shirt and I are gonna be friends for a long long time. Everybody needs a white shirt in their wardrobe and most people also needs a shirt with a twist, with a twist I mean a detail that differs them from a classic shirt. I listed my favorites in stores right now below.

At this very moment, I’m on a plane to Turkey, Bodrum to be precise. So if you won’t find me here, find me on Instagram HERE as I have a feeling that my Instafeed and Instastories are gonna be up and running a lot.
