Saved on Instagram – Some Monday inspiration

instasaved

I love Instagram, that is just they way it is. I also love the fact that Instagram now allows you to save photos in a folder, perfect for an Instagram addict as myself who is constantly looking for inspiration. My last photos saved in my folder are the one above, a mix of fashion, decoration and art, just they way I like it.

Starting from top left, The stylist @linnhagglund apartment, My newfound Instagram obsession @mahyunmi style, my idol @irinalakicevic and her style, one of my favorite fashion brands @therow showing art (Man Ray; Needle and Thread, 1965)  and the brand @toteme headquarters in Stockholm.

A little bit of Monday inspiration!

My ultimate styling tip – Opposites attract

nebraska

nebraska2

I know that I might have mentioned this a few times before, but it can never be said too many times. My ultimate styling tip when it comes to dressing is contrast. If you have, like on the picture above, a casual sweat shirt then pair it with a pair of rhinestone earrings. It’s all about balancing things out and remember: opposites attract! That’s all I had to say for today, I’m preparing a big shoot for Noordinarysuit on Sunday so gotta go back to work now.

My relaxing space and my Maison Popineau pillow

maisonpopineau

Welcome to my space, yes I have created a little space at home where I hang out. This is where I read my book and just relax. I think if you are busy and working a lot, it’s important to slow down every now and then, for me it works to have a specific place in the house for that actual slowing down process.

I got THIS PILLOW  that I absolutely love from Maison Popineau It just brings some extra coziness to the space and also some color and character. One other extra plus is the fact that the pillow is made from feather filling, so not one of that synthetic pillow that will lose their shape within a week, and the pillowcase itself is made from cotton and silk patches all sewn together. A real quality pillow that is! Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that is made in France and is eco-friendly, Win win win!

The colors are from the french flag, and since I used to be Parisian I thought I would bring some french character into my London home.

Check out some more of my favorite pillows from the brand below. Should a get a pink one next time or the one with a lightning?? Decisions decisions…

Levi’s Redone – My new old favorite jeans

Buying a pair of jeans that has holes in but still cost as much (if not more) as a pair of high-end brand jeans, well that is something my dad would never understand. I admit, it is a bit crazy when you think about it, but you are also buying a piece that is truly unique and carries history in a way. And the best thing is that once you find a pair that truly sits well, you kind of can’t settle for less when it comes to jeans.

My levis Redone has the perfect light wash, the perfect high waist and just enough amount of holes!

My five top tips in how to wardrobe detox – Featured on Share Style

pile

Hands up everyone who feels like they have too many clothes but nothing to wear? Well, you are not alone if you raised your hand.

A couple of days ago I got asked by the app Share Style, where I work as one of their many freelancing personal stylists, to share my five best tips in how to do a wardrobe detox. A wardrobe detox is simply a detox but for your clothes and wardrobe. It’s a way to edit out what you don’t need and add pieces you are missing and simply clean and organize so you can easily get dressed in the morning. I’m sharing my first of five tips here, to read them all head over to Share Style blog.

  1. HIDE THE CLOTHES YOU AREN’T SURE ABOUT FOR A FEW MONTHS.

This may sound ridiculous —  why would you hide your clothes when you’re already struggling to find something to wear? — but it can really help. If you have some pieces in your wardrobe that you’re not sure about but haven’t got rid of them just in case you might wear them on some rare occasion, then fold them up and put them in a bag for six months. If you haven’t missed them or can hardly remember what’s in that bag, then you know that you can do without them. So get rid. Leaving them as an unreliable outfit option is only adding extra minutes to your daily dressing woes.

And if you still after reading the five tip needs an extra help, don’t hesitate to book an appointment with me at Share Style.

A lot of you have asked where the shoes on the pictures are from, and unfortunately, they are old H&M ones, but you can find similar ones HERE

Cherry and bandanas – A perfect match

cherrytee

I dawns on me a lot of the time when styling how keeping it simple really makes it perfect, everytime. I know, I know I’m Scandinavian and we are really known for it and blah blah blah, but the truth it that we always try to overdo things and had we just removed one or two things the result would have been different and better.

The other day I styled my white t-shirt with a bandana and matched the bandana with the embroidered cherry. I turned out pretty well, I must say, simple and not overdone. Loving bandanas and cherry’s on clothes for that matter. Check my best buys of them both of them below. I’m quite tempted to get the cherry tee from Ganni with a white bandana, Yay or Nay??

Loafers – A must in every shoe wardrobe

loafers11

I really have a thing for loafers lately. Fist of all they are comfortable and at the moment I have a bit of a problem with aching feets so I chose comfort over; looking tall in heels.

When it comes to styling its super east to style them as well. Personally, I prefer to go the old school way and wear them with a pair of denim, but you can easily pair them either a dress, a skirt or a pair of culottes. Littery everything, so a good investment in your shoe wardrobe I must say. The one above I got from Topshop and I love that they are a bit more fun than the classic black ones, a bit of metallic pink never did anyone any harm right?

But I’m ready for a new pair, but this time I’m dreaming of a Gucci loafers, preferably a pair of slides ones…

Help me, which one below do you like the best? And can you guess my favorite?

My favorite everyday uniform

postcasual

Isn’t it the nicest thing when you find a good everyday look? Well, this is my current one, classic and very casual. When I don’t know what to wear and I’m in a rush, this is my safe card.

I love the mom jeans from Mango simply because they are the perfect fit and it’s made of proper denim, not the stretchy ones you normally find on the high street. The knit from Uniqlo is just a good basic for a very good price point and it’s a blend of cotton and cashmere, so very soft as you can imagine. My cowboy boots from Topshop are perfect for when you running in town, and they look pretty kick ass too!

And Oh, My metal pot from H&M Home, isn’t it gorgeous?
