Parisian buildings and architecture shot in Marais this summer

Last week I was back in what most people refer to the City of Love, Paris. I lived there two years ago and even though I have been back a few times since moving, it has always been for the work and only for the day. This meant seeing Paris through the taxi in between the station and the showroom. This time was different as I stayed for two days and spent the night in Paris, still for work but more time for pleasure this time.

When walking from Garde de Nord ( Yes luckily Londoners can take the train to Paris) to Marais it stroke me how beautiful the city is, I had forgotten about the Parisians buildings and how charming the city is. Funny how sometimes you need a bit of distance in able to see things clearly again.

Picture of the interior decoration department in the french store Merci in Paris. Love the minimalistic and nature colored deco combined with the green plant wall outside.

My visit didn’t get any worse when I meet up with friends for dinner and breakfast and that I managed to squeeze in a visit to one of my favorite shop Merci, see picture above. I would really recommend this store if you are into design, my favorite department is the interior design floor. Oh, la la as you would say in France. If you interested in visiting the store but can’t go to Paris check out their online store HERE

I must also fill in that it was nice by Thursday night to come home to London and my life here, home is where your heart is. But I will always have Paris…

So I just got back from a week long holiday in Sweden. It was perfect in so many ways, first I celebrated love at a friends wedding and later I hung out with my family for days. So much love in one week.

Yet, I can’t stop thinking about this summer’s upcoming holiday plans. But my thoughts goes a bit longer than just laying on the beach or what even one might be doing on vacation. I’m thinking of my holidays in colors, outfit, and photos. It might sound a bit crazy and I can’t really explain it neither, I guess I’m a very visual person who just happened to imagine things in beautiful pictures. Right now I’m drawn to the mood, colors and looks on the picture above, exactly how I image my holiday look.

My second holiday will be in south of Turkey to hang out with my boyfriend and his family and the third one in the south of France with my parents, a place that I can almost call my second home. I’m actually so lucky to be able to travel and have so many places to call home in Europe.

I’m really feeling summer vibes today, all of you who follows me on Instagram knows I’m currently in Sweden, and let me tell you it’s 20 degrees and sun! So naturally, I’m holiday daydreaming, especially when it comes to styling and dressing.

I’m always drawn to patterns and natural materials in summer, as most people I guess. I literally can’t wait to put my feets on a beach with sand beneath my toes, but while doing that I would love to look stylish as well. Above you can find my wishlist for my summer adventures. Summer come quickly!

This new Year’s Eve/weekend will go to history in many ways, it was so perfect and it’s really how I imagine a New Years Eve to be. First of all, it wasn’t spend in London (No offense London but I really do prefer an intimate NYE spend in a small town like we did this time).

We celebrated in the lovely little town in Dorset county called Bridport, where we rented an Air BnB with friends and spend NYE in an other friends restaurant opened up just for an intimate dinner among friends. It was the perfect evening who could just as well been taken out of a movie. At midnight we went to the local square to watch the whole town dressed out (not up, but out!?) in the craziest costumes. A local tradition I’ve been told. After that, we did a quick pitch stop at a bar to dance to the weirdest and loudest music with an interesting mix of people, to say the least, and then back to the restaurant continue the feast. One thing I found so charming with small towns is the fact that everything is in walking distance, it took no more than a few minutes to walk in between the places and I love that. Well this was the actual NYE but since we did spend two nights there you can imagine how many other things we manage to fit in, it really prolonged the New Years celebration to an entire weekend!

When it comes to the outfit I decided to go for something glamours and dressed down in the same way. It’s always a safe card when you go to a gathering where you don’t know how other people will dress. I ended up wearing skinny jeans layered with a slipdress to have the best of two worlds. My glittery socks, sparkling earrings and red lips really added that extra glam to the look!

Thank you everyone involved in this New Year’s (and Ulgen for snapping those photos!) It was the best!

Happy new years to you all!
