Wake Wonderful – For tired January skin like mine

Okey, I don't normally write about beauty to much unless its a product I really love. Hence this blog post, thanks to my colleague and friend Bryony to whom I complained about my, in my eyes, gray, dull and tired skin, and who then recommended me this magical product.

When someone says " I promise, I woke up and I could actually see my skin glowing. I really saw I change." let's be honest, you don't really believe them completely do you? I know it will be same for you when reading this post, but No I'm not paid by Ren to tell this, I'm simply giving you guys a gift If you feel the same as me.

So I'm sorry to say this but I didn't really think it was gonna work as well as my college told me, but I did go to Ren to a get a sample, I mean it can't get worse, can it?

It didn't my friend, I must say I didn't have this Aha experience whilst looking myself in the mirror, but I did see something changing. My ultimate test was when I entered work with these horrible big mirrors and that strong light, and I saw it, the glow.

Later that day one of my regular costumers gave me the ultimate proof that this little product had done its miracle. She looked at me and said, " You have been on holiday haven't you", I haven't so naturally I said no, and she replied, "but you have this glow, your skin is glowing".

lipstick girl

lipstickI never used to be a lipstick girl until I moved to Paris, (I'm still not a true lipstick girl because there are some serious lipstick business going on out there where I'm not even close to becoming a lipstick girl) there I discovered how a lipstick can make you look like you made an effort. It transforms you to a person from being not ready, to ready. Here in London I have experimented a bit more with colors and brands, because as I said; a good lipstick comes in handy when you need that exra push and boost on your look.

I tend to go more for the orange-red ones as it looks better with my blonde hair and light skin, like this one on the picture my new found from Mac. Gorgeous, no?

céline and nails

celineTomorow is the big take-off to South of France and today I found myself packing, washing and getting ready for my week holiday. One of the task today is to get my toes into vacay-mood by adding a bit of color. Inspired by this Céline ad I kind of want to go towards orange tones, right now I'm leaning towards the far right one  a mix between orange and red. Keep checking in here to see which one I choose. And yes, O.P.I is by far one of the best nail polish brands, just so you know.

See you in Côte d'azur!

Tax free and french Vogue

taxfreevogueHello from the Swedish west coast! I am away on holiday to visit my beloved family, a well needed break.

When I travel I always make sure I have some time at the airport before boarding, time to have a coffee and of course time for tax-free! It is just the best feeling doing some beauty shopping before your holiday. This time were no exception and three product ended up in my shopping bag.

Clarins instant light lip comfort oil. Just because I read it about it HERE, and I'm slightly obsessed with new lip products. Love this one and it smells like raspberry's as well.

Clarins sun wrinkle control cream for face. Although the sun is absent I here right now, (please let there be sun) It is still important to protect your face from sun spots and wrinkles and Clarins Paris products has never disappointed me.

Clinique liquid facial soap mild. Forgot my face soap in London so thought I would try this one. Very happy about that, my skin feels so clean and soft after washing it now.

And behind my favorite cover of French Vouge (July 2010) with Miss Moss. The colors, her red lips, the sea and the earrings. Just perfect.

aesop hand wash

aesophandwashMy goal is to always to try to aim for this spa- or hotel-feeling at home, just because it feel luxurious and relaxing. So when I buy products I sometimes invest in the more expensive one that will bring me this good feeling. Like this hand-wash from Aesop above, it may look like an ordinary soap but no, it is a soap/handscrub, yes my friends it has grains in it so not only does it clean your hands but it scrubs them as well and makes them silky smooth.

Get it HERE, you won't regret it!

aesop facial mist

The other day I read THIS post from Caroline, the editor in chief of the Swedish magazine Chic, where she talked about her obsession for facial mist. I hear ya Caroline! One thing we share in common is the love for this product above, since discovering it I'm not sure I can live without it. Nothing makes me feel more fresher and more hydrated then this little spray. And also once you finished applying your make-up spray the mist on it and the make-up will stay longer. Go grab it!

make me up

makeupI am and have never been a big fan of make-up, don't get me wrong I would never go to work without make-up to work etc but I don't like to spend more then maximum  10 min doing it. I am more in to get the make-up making me look fresh rather then to change me. A prof of that is that a few of my colleagues didn't think I was actually wearing makeup (?!).

Anyway I have been shopping more make-up then normal lately but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I am surrended by mirrors and strong light at work (not always so flattering) and that it's hard to get the fresh sun touched skin here in London (you have to fake it here).

So this is my favorites right now!

 1. Shu Uemura blush/ Soft peach 530 KLICK!

2. Shu Uemura powder/ Light amber 375 KLICK!

3. YSL Touche Éclat/ 1 luminous radiance KLICK!

4. Clarins/ Beauty flash balm KLICK!

5. Nars Highlighting blush/ Albatross luminous glow KLICK!

6. Vichy Idealia BB cream/Light KLICK!

stay organized

filofaxNothing makes me feels so good then when I stay organized. I LOVE making to-do list, or let's say lists in general. It calms me down to note what I did and will do in my agenda. I use different colors and highlight important stuff, I can not for the world understand people who uses electronic calendars I need to write it by hand (how else can you make cute drawings next to it?)

So I finally invested in this agenda from Filofax, I wanted something colorful but still classy and what's more classy then red leather? Looking forward to share a lot with this new friend!
